It might look like just play, but when kids are active and running around a playground they are building critical developmental skills. Playgrounds provide the opportunity for children to practice skills that will ultimately play a role in adult competencies such as the ability to collaborate with others, develop decision making skills, and successfully take on leadership roles, persevere in the face of distractions, and generate creative ideas.

The teachers, administrators, and staff of Lassen Elementary believe in the equal worth and dignity of all students and are committed to educate all students to their maximum potential.

Our commitments to providing students access to meals and formulating lifelong healthy eating habits address the concerns of childhood hunger and obesity. By working through our Café LA cafeteria, we ensure that healthy meals and supper/snacks are always available to students during the instructional day and/or in a school program outside the regular day.

This sense of belonging contributes to a supportive environment where students feel connected to their peers and invested in their academic journey. A robust school spirit contributes to a positive and vibrant campus culture. It infuses energy, excitement, and a sense of celebration into campus life.
