Winter Academy
Enrollment Begins-October 15, 2026
ENRICHMENT
The Winter Academy will be offered from 8:30 a.m. - 11:50 a.m. at select sites. During Winter Academy, students will work with credentialed teachers to receive small group instructional support in literacy and numeracy. Enrichment opportunities will be available in areas such as financial literacy, social-emotional learning, and the arts.
BEYOND THE BELL
Through Beyond the Bell, students will also have opportunities to participate in engaging activities that support connection, creativity, and continued learning.
Beyond the Bell programs will be open during Winter Academy days at most participating school sites.
Families can turn in the Beyond the Bell Program Application on the first day, January 4, 2027.
TRANSPORTATION AND MEALS
Transportation will be provided to all students who currently receive transportation services, including those with transportation services in an IEP or through Student Integration Services such as magnet programs.
All other requests will be granted based on availability. Elementary school students must live more than a one mile radius from the Winter Academy site to be considered for transportation. Transportation for the Winter Academy is not guaranteed.
The deadline to request transportation is December 1, 2026 via the registration process.
All students will also have access to healthy meals.

Our Playgrounds
It might look like just play, but when kids are active and running around a playground they are building critical developmental skills. Playgrounds provide the opportunity for children to practice skills that will ultimately play a role in adult competencies such as the ability to collaborate with others, develop decision making skills, and successfully take on leadership roles, persevere in the face of distractions, and generate creative ideas.

Lunch Pavilion
Our commitments to providing students access to meals and formulating lifelong healthy eating habits address the concerns of childhood hunger and obesity. By working through our Café LA cafeteria, we ensure that healthy meals and supper/snacks are always available to students during the instructional day and/or in a school program outside the regular day.
